Our White World Empty
PostSubject: Our White World   Our White World EmptyWed Oct 21, 2009 8:45 pm

In the midst of life we are in death

Life will always find itself
In the midst of death,
And for the unwary grazer
Struggling to lick the juice
From the brambled blackberry,
There will always be a needle
To remind of this fact.

Yet there is still hope
If only we listen to the voice,
A calm and motherly presence
Whispering from the cloud of static,
Which gives us hope and raises high,
Reminds us of beauty, love, humanity,
If only we would remember.

Our White World

An endless vista of white snow,
Curving, curling, in on itself.
Like some glass ball, where shaken,
Sends transparent clouds scudding
Across the unclothed heavens.

The room is a prison,
And I am trapped in its cold embrace,
A snow storm, devoid of life,
Yet able to strip the soul bare,
With its monotonous austerity.

Over time the prison shrinks,
My world along with it.
My field of vision narrows
As my mind strives for sanity,
A tiny shard of hope,
In an otherwise barren world.

Hope…it can be hard to unearth,
From the condensed, yet chaotic
Conventions of society.
However, if dedication is shown,
If diligence is displayed,
A sliver of that most precious of commodities,
Of all that is necessary, can be acquired.

Emptiness…a nonexistent vista,
There is no obvious escape,
There is little will to do so,
Save for a tiny voice,
A voice of hope,
Whispering to the mind.

This room is white.
The white walls whisper to me,
The colorless ceiling cries out,
The faceless floor fades away.
This room is white, my room is white,
Your room is white, our room is white.

I think I will paint it.

"With the All Spark gone, we cannot return life to our planet. And fate has yielded its reward: a new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, but watching over them in secret, waiting, protecting. I have witnessed their capacity for courage, and though we are worlds apart, like us, there's more to them than meets the eye. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to any surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars. We are here. We are waiting. "
