The sun never sets in an Alaskan summer. There were ten of us, teenagers, in a little cabin in the middle of nowhere, and it was getting pretty late. We weren't tired yet, though. We were just playing cards, killing time until we could be tired. All of a sudden, I put my cards down, jumped up, and ran downstairs. I could hear behind me that everyone else was following. I pulled on my Xtratuf rubber boots, the ones that go all the way up to your knees, and ran down the path to the beach. The tide was up higher than I had ever seen it, and I splashed through the surf in broad circles until everyone had arrived. As one, we charged down the beach and turned sharply up the stream. We splashed and sang for over an hour, just running in the water over our boots, making noise and being outside.

What if this were the opening to a hilarious pornographic film you once saw in a French theater, while studying to be a film major?
